Wir waren mit Asuka-Lena zu 初宮参り Hatsumiyamairi schon im Hachimangu Tempel, deshalb wollten wir auch das nächste Ritual, das Shichi-go-san in Hachimangu begehen. Shichi-go-san ist ein religiöses Shinto Fest für Kinder, es lässt sich zwar nicht grundsätzlich mit einer Taufe aus dem Christentum vergleichen. Es entspricht aber der Taufe als Ritual zur Aufnahme in die Familie oder Gemeinschaft. Die Familie hat sich also wieder getroffen um gemeinsam in den Tempel zu gehen.
Während der Zeremonie ist es nicht gestattet zu fotografieren, auf der anderen Seite verbringt man eh die meiste Zeit damit auf den Boden zu starren und sich zu verneigen, während die Shinto Priester Sutren vorsingen oder die Gläubigen spirituell reinigen. Nach der Zeremonie gibt es noch einen Reisschnaps aufs Haus oder besser gesagt auf den Tempel und man kann sich die Geschenke des Tempels für das Kind abholen. Die Geschenke bestehen aus einem speziellen Bonbon und zwei mit Kaligraphien verzierten Holztafeln die an den Tag erinnern sollen. Die Familie hat etwas zusammen gemacht und Schwiegermutter ist glücklich, dass wir das alles im „Familientempel“ gemacht haben. Wenn ich da an Deutschland denke, dann wäre eine Taufe deutlich aufwändiger. Wir wurden lediglich gebeten eine angemessene Spende abzudrücken und darauf verwiesen dass umgerechnet ca. 50€ als Minimum für angemessen angesehen werden. Wir hätten aber auch darauf verzichten können. – Nimm das katholische Kirche, keine Steuern, keine ewigen Termine in denen ich erklären muss, warum ich mit einer Anhängerin einer Naturreligion eine Familie gründen möchte, kein steuerzahlender Taufpate und auch kein Knabengrabscher oder verschwenderischer Bauherr als Priester.

Narita-jo

Unser Japan Urlaub ist jetzt so gut wie vorbei. Am letzten Tag übernachten wir in Narita wo der Flughafen für unsere Abreise ist. Der Flug geht recht früh und wir wollten nicht während der Rush Hour vom anderen Ende Tokyos her anreisen. Sachiko erzählte mir vom Narita-jo, einer sehr großen Tempelanlage hier in Narita. Wir kamen recht spät im Hotel an, wollten es aber dennoch versuchen rechtzeitig in den Tempel zu kommen um unseren letzten Goshuin für diese Reise zu sammeln. Wir kamen bei Einbruch der Dunkelheit am Tempel an und Sachiko konnte gerade noch rechtzeitig unser Goshuincho abgeben.
