Unser Japan Urlaub ist jetzt so gut wie vorbei. Am letzten Tag übernachten wir in Narita wo der Flughafen für unsere Abreise ist. Der Flug geht recht früh und wir wollten nicht während der Rush Hour vom anderen Ende Tokyos her anreisen. Sachiko erzählte mir vom Narita-jo, einer sehr großen Tempelanlage hier in Narita. Wir kamen recht spät im Hotel an, wollten es aber dennoch versuchen rechtzeitig in den Tempel zu kommen um unseren letzten Goshuin für diese Reise zu sammeln. Wir kamen bei Einbruch der Dunkelheit am Tempel an und Sachiko konnte gerade noch rechtzeitig unser Goshuincho abgeben.

Okutama Mukashi-Michi

Heute hat es uns wieder nach Okutama verschlagen. Dieses Mal wollten wir aber nicht in dem westlichsten und zugleich auch nördlichsten Ort Tokyos wandern sondern auf der Mukashi-Michi Strasse bis zum Okutama Stausee laufen. Die Mukashi-Michi war seit 19. Jahrhundert bis kurz nach dem 2. Weltkrieg die wichtigste Landverbindung zwischen Tokyo und Kyoto. Heute ist die Strasse für den regulären Verkehr gesperrt und in eine beliebte Wanderroute für gestresste Tokyoter umgewandelt worden. Die Strasse windet sich durch Schlucht das Tamagawa Fluß. Man kommt an vielen verlassenen Tee- und Gasthäusern vorbei. Es gibt vereinzelt auch noch Siedlungen die heute immer noch bewohnt werden, manche Bauernhöfe hatten hängende Gärten. Die Strecke ließ sich recht angenehm wandern jedoch wird es gegen Ende zwischen Kilometer 7 und 8 dann doch knackig steil. Nach etwas weniger als 4 Stunden kamen wir am Stausee an, gerade rechtzeitig um den nächsten Bus zu erwischen.

Wakiwashoku zum Tanjobi

Heute haben wir Freunde zu einen Wakiwashoku Abend eingeladen und den Tanjobi (Gebutstag) von Sachiko gefeiert. Wakiwashoku wassn das? Janz eenfach – „Wa und ki“ sind die ersten beiden Silben von Sachikos Mädchennamen und mit Washoku bezeichnet man die traditionelle japanische Küche.
In diesem Jahr wird auch Sachiko neben mir als Autorin in diesem Blog mitwirken. Sie wird unter der Kategorie „Wakiwashoku“ hier ein paar Gerichte und Rezepte vorstellen. Wir wollen euch aber nicht nur die japanische Küche näher bringen. Sachiko möchte euch beibringen wie man mit regionalen Zutaten ein bisschen Japan in eigene Küche zaubern kann – man darf gespannt sein!
Wir haben für die Feier extra ein paar Köstlichkeiten, Getränke, Gewürze und Saucen aus Japan mitgebracht. Nach den Snacks zum Mittag gab es nachmittags die Vorspeisen, im Anschluß wurde dann auf dem Teppan Grill gemeinschaftlich von jedem etwas gebrutzelt. Zum Schluß bereitete Sachiko noch Yakisoba (gebratene Nudeln) nach einem traditionellem Rezept zu.
Wenn wir Freunde einladen, sei es zum Essen oder Brettspielen oder eher doch beidem in Kombination, dann walte ich sehr gerne meines Amtes und verteile Kurze – meist Liköre, denn alleine trinken macht einsam 😉
Unsere Freunde schenkten Sachiko einen Gaskocher, die erste Patrone für den Kocher und eine Gußeisenform für Takoyaki (Oktopusbällchen). Nachdem wir dann Asuka-Lena ins Bett gebracht haben, noch ein wenig von unserem Urlaub berichteten haben wir den Abend mit einer Partie 7 Wonders ausklingen lassen.
